Praying for Miracles

A twisting scream
calls me in
Breaks my heart
Sears my skin.

Strength is coming
Let loose the call-
The clarion sounds
I lose it all.

Blood gushing,
Time stands still:
Praying for miracles
I bend my will.

Asking for faith, only this once
Asking for strength, for power, for chance
Praying for miracles, praying for death.

Curse their fate,
Weapons thrown down-
Cast the spell
Make secrets known.

Will of the gods
Force of the land
Magics wove tightly
Enemies in my hand.

Power overwhelming,
My darkness gone
Control the Light,
My battle done.

Asking for faith, only this once
Asking for healing, for forgiveness, for rest
Praying for miracles, praying for death.
