Untitled

You left me with the dark.
I searched for anything,
Something other than
What you had shown me,
What I found was the deep,
And the blackness
The misery left behind.

It is empty.
I'm empty.
You took everything,
All that was inside
And left me with the pain
The obscure notions left
About what could have been.

The ache inside eats at me.
It will not leave,
I cannot escape the nightmare.
From the darkness you created,
In the blackness I survive...
Tortured,
Beaten,
Weary.

I will not forget.
I cannot forget.
In those quiet moments,
Through the despair,
Through the anguish of remembering,
I grow stronger,
Though the mourning lingers,
I am.
